MARGOT WARE
Margot C. Ware, RN BScN GNC(C), is a respected gerontological nurse and CEO of Shylo Home Healthcare, a long-established provider of home care services in the Lower Mainland of BC. Margot was blessed to be raised in a multi-generational family, which had a significant influence on her vocational choices later in life. Her mother and grandmother were both registered nurses, and her grandfather a renowned Canadian physician. Margot had the extraordinary honour of caring for her parents and grandparents as they aged and passed peacefully in their own beds.
Sadly, despite growing up in a loving family of nine, Margot was suddenly orphaned at the age of twenty-one and had to learn to stand on her own two feet overnight. In this chapter she shares a moment of truth that was so consequential, it shaped how she would plan and accomplish goals throughout her life.
